How do I set up NoahFace Thermal?
This article provides a summary of the NoahFace Thermal setup requirements
Cabling
Each NoahFace Thermal device requires two CAT6 network cables, each carrying Power over Ethernet (PoE). Both cables should be connected to the same network.
If no cables carrying PoE are available, you can add power to regular data cables using a “PoE Injector”. These devices will take in a data cable (ethernet) as well as wall power, and output a single cable carrying both data and power.
No separate power supply is required, as both the thermal sensor and iPad are powered by the PoE cables.
Positioning
The following considerations should be taken into account when positioning the iPad mount for NoahFace Thermal:
- The iPad mount should be oriented vertically
- The iPad camera (the top of the iPad) should be approximately 130cm from the ground with a slight upward tilt (12-15 degrees) toward the ceiling
- The ambient temperature should stay within the range of 17-26 °C
