How to override award pay rates (e.g. custom sleepover allowances)

This article shows how to pay a custom rate for certain pay categories (e.g. sleepovers) using Pay Cat's SCHADS award template

Navigate to payroll settings and go to pay rate templates.
Export the pay rate templates by pressing export and selecting Pay Cat - Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award [MA000100] for the award
Download the excel file and open it.
Locate the relevant category (e.g. Sleepover Allowance) by using the Ctrl+F function.
Enter the new rate for the category (e.g. $90) in the corresponding column.
Fill down the new rate in every relevant row.
Save the file.
Return to Pay Cat, go to pay rate templates, and select import.
Tick the box for "update employee pay rates."
Choose the file you edited and confirm the upload.
The rates will be updated for all relevant templates and applied to employee profiles.

Applying award updates may cause any custom rates to reset to the award rate. Double check any customisations after applying any award rates.
