How do I deploy the ShiftCare Timesheet Importer (OUTDATED)

This article explains how to setup the Shiftcare importer for the first time

Note: ShiftCare has released a native integration with Pay Cat which replaces this method. Check out the article here to set it up: https://www.paycat.com.au/en/knowledge/how-to-connect-pay-cat-to-shiftcare

Before you begin:

  • You will need an account with Google. This can be either a Google Workspace Account as part of a business or a personal 'Gmail' account. You can sign up for a Google Account here if you don't have one already

For personal use, Gmail is free to sign up

Installing the Google Sheets Extension

Once you have an account and are logged into Google, you will need to install our Google Sheets Extension

Click the link below:

Click install:

Click 'continue'

Choose your Google account from the list.

Click Continue

Review the permissions and click 'allow'

Click Done to complete the installation.

Setting up your Google Sheet

To create a new Google Sheet, head to drive.google.com, click the 'New' button and then click Google Sheets

Now, every time you create a new Google Sheet you will have the extension added to the extensions menu.

Go to 'Extensions > Shiftcare - Paycat Timesheet Importer'. This will be available on any sheet, but feel free to reuse the same sheet for each pay run if you like.

You can reuse the same Google sheet each payday or create a new one each time
