Pay Cat Toolbox Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pay Cat Toolbox Google Sheets™ extension ("Extension") provided by Pay Cat for the purpose of assisting with payroll, reporting, employee data, timesheet, accounting, redundancy, and Portable Long Service Leave workflows in Pay Cat.

By using the Extension, you agree to abide by these Terms.

1. Purpose

The Extension is designed to assist Pay Cat clients with payroll-related workflows in  Google Sheets™, including employee updates, timesheet shaping, wage accrual reporting, salaried hours reporting, classification reporting, redundancy worksheets, and Portable Long Service Leave reporting.

The Extension is intended for use by Pay Cat clients only.

2. Data Usage

The Extension reads and writes data in the  Google Sheets™ document it is executed on. It may also store settings and properties against the user account and the document, including configuration values such as API keys, selected business IDs, report settings, column mappings, and workflow preferences.

The Extension may access data from Pay Cat using the credentials and business selected by the user. Depending on the feature used, this may include employee data, pay categories, locations, timesheets, pay runs, earnings, reports, and related payroll configuration.

The data accessed and modified by the Extension is limited to the  Google Sheets™ document, the selected payroll business, and the actions initiated by the user.

3. Responsibility of Use

You are responsible for ensuring that the data entered into, generated by, reviewed in, or imported through the Extension is accurate and appropriate for your payroll requirements.

You are responsible for reviewing all generated reports, diagnostics, issue columns, logs, calculations, and import outputs before relying on them for payroll processing, compliance reporting, accounting, or employee record updates.

The Extension is a workflow assistance tool and does not replace payroll review, legislative interpretation, or professional advice.

4. Payroll and Compliance Outputs

The Extension may assist with reports or templates relating to payroll, wage accruals, redundancy, classifications, timesheets, employee data, and Portable Long Service Leave.

You remain responsible for confirming that any output produced by the Extension is correct, complete, and suitable for your circumstances before it is submitted to a payroll system, accounting system, government authority, or third party.

Pay Cat does not guarantee that generated reports, calculations, imports, or templates will be error-free or suitable for every business configuration, award interpretation, enterprise agreement, payroll setup, or reporting authority requirement.

5. Limitation of Liability

Pay Cat is not liable for any issues arising from the use of the Extension, including incorrect employee payments, incorrect payroll records, incorrect reports, rejected imports, compliance issues, loss of data, business interruption, or any other direct or indirect loss.

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all data, calculations, reports, updates, and imports before finalising payroll, submitting reports, updating employee records, or relying on the output of the Extension.

6. Data Privacy and Security

Data processed by the Extension is stored within your  Google Sheets™ account, your Google Apps Script environment, and your connected Pay Cat account.

The Extension does not directly share your spreadsheet data with Pay Cat unless you separately provide access to Pay Cat, request support, or otherwise share the data.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account, payroll account, API credentials, spreadsheet access permissions, and any data exported from the Extension.

7. Third-Party Services

The Extension relies on  Google Sheets™, Google Apps Script, and Pay Cat. Your use of those services is also subject to the terms, privacy policies, permissions, limits, and availability of those third-party providers.

Pay Cat is not responsible for outages, API changes, permission changes, authentication issues, rate limits, data changes, or other issues caused by third-party services.

8. Breach of Terms

In the event of a breach of these Terms, Pay Cat reserves the right to revoke your access to the Extension.

If access is revoked, you will be responsible for finding an alternate method to complete your payroll, reporting, employee update, or compliance workflows.

9. Modifications to Terms

Pay Cat reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Extension after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Contact Us

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these Terms, please contact Pay Cat at support@paycat.com.au.

By using the Extension, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
