This Privacy Policy explains how Pay Cat Tools (“the extension”), published by Pay Cat, handles information when used with supported Pay Cat payroll websites.
Pay Cat Tools processes information displayed within Pay Cat only when necessary to provide its user-facing features. Depending on the feature being used, this may include:
This information is processed within the user’s browser or sent to the supported Pay Cat payroll service as required to perform a requested feature. The extension does not transmit this information to a separate analytics or data-collection service.

Report URLs may contain employee or location identifiers and selected date ranges. Users should review these URLs before copying or sharing them.
Feature preferences and pinned destinations may use Chrome synchronised storage. If Chrome Sync is enabled, Google may synchronise this information between the user’s browsers in accordance with the user’s Chrome settings and Google’s privacy practices.
Other information is stored locally in the browser or for the current browsing session. Diagnostic records do not contain employee names, search terms, payroll values or page contents.

The extension does not use information for advertising, behavioural profiling, marketing, credit decisions or unrelated analytics.
Pay Cat Tools makes HTTPS requests only to supported Pay Cat services when required to provide a feature. These requests use the user’s existing authenticated Pay Cat session.
The extension does not read or store passwords. It does not access authentication cookies directly or transmit credentials to the extension publisher or third parties.
Most extension features are read-only or change only how information is displayed. The timesheet unapproval feature is the sole intentional data-changing operation. It requires confirmation and uses Pay Cat’s existing undo-approval function.
Pay Cat Tools does not sell, rent or share extension data with advertisers, data brokers or unrelated third parties.

The extension also provides optional links to external websites. If a user chooses to open one of these links, the destination website will receive the information ordinarily provided by the browser and will apply its own privacy policy.
Feature preferences, pinned destinations, recent destinations and report presets remain in browser storage until deleted, replaced, cleared by the browser or removed with the extension, subject to Chrome’s storage and synchronisation behavior.
Compatibility diagnostics remain locally stored until the feature recovers or the extension’s storage is cleared.

Pay Cat Tools limits its access to supported Pay Cat domains and uses HTTPS for network requests. It does not request access to unrelated websites, does not load remotely hosted executable code and does not send data to an extension-specific analytics service.
While no system can guarantee absolute security, the extension is designed to minimise the information it accesses and retains.
Pay Cat Tools’ use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Information accessed through extension permissions is used only to provide or improve Pay Cat Tools’ disclosed, user-facing functionality. It is not used or transferred for personalised advertising, retargeting or interest-based advertising, and is not made available for human review except with the user’s express consent, when required by law, or when necessary for security purposes.
This policy may be updated when the extension’s features or information-handling practices change. Updates will be published with a revised effective date.
