Allowance Description

The following allowances are payable to a driver of a commercial vehicle used in the course of the employer’s business:

(i) for each additional complete tonne over 8 tonnes an allowance of $1.79 per week;

(ii) employees engaged in driving a motor vehicle drawing an empty trailer will be paid an additional $2.32 per day;

(iii) employees engaged in driving a motor vehicle drawing a loaded trailer will be paid an additional $4.19 per day.

What to pay

$0.31 per hour up to a maximum of $2.32 per day
