An employee working for more than one hour in the shade will be paid as follows:
(i) an allowance of $0.78 per hour in places where the temperature is raised by artificial means to between 46 and 54 degrees Celsius; or
(ii) an allowance of $1.00 per hour in places where the temperature exceeds 54 degrees Celsius.
Where work continues for more than 2 hours in temperatures exceeding 54 degrees Celsius, an employee will also be entitled to a paid 20-minute rest break after every 2 hours work.

This allowance is based on a working condition or a disability as part of working a shift.
