Allowance Description

An employee at the level equal to or below an Assistant Station Officer/Regional Relieving Officer in an ambulance service, required to form a crew and perform operational duties training a Student Ambulance Officer/Paramedic Level 1, is entitled to an allowance for that period of training of: 

  • $5.54 per 8-hour shift; and
  • $0.71 per hour for each rostered hour in excess of 8 hours.


What to pay

$5.54 per 8 hour shift and a further $0.71 per hour for any period in excess of 8 hours

This allowance is based on performing a special duty or a certain area of responsibility
