Allowance Description

An accommodation allowance is payable to a Student Ambulance Officer employed by an ambulance service for the reasonable cost of accommodation when required to live away from home by their employer in order to undertake a compulsory course of training. They are also entitled to an incidental expenses allowance of $18.46  per day for: 

  • the day they attend a compulsory course of training;
  • the weekend between successive weeks of a course if they elect to remain at the educational institution; and
  • each day of attending a compulsory driver training course.
